CASBA statement on the COVID 19 VaccineCASBA support people with a Learning Disability to self-advocate. We think everyone has the right to easy read or accessible information. This will make it easier for people to understand what the COVID 19 vaccination is and make their own decisions. If you are unsure about having the vaccination, we think you should talk to a medical professional, like your doctor. CASBA staff and volunteers can support the people we work with to understand the facts about this vaccination. You can download this statement with added pictures below. There is also an easy read leaflet about the vaccination from Public Health England to download. ![]()

Corona Virus and Our Work
CASBA works with a lot of vulnerable people. We must always put their safety first. For that reason, we stopped group work, home visits and appointments in our offices in March. Our staff are still mainly working from home, but we are keeping in touch with those we support via telephone, video calls and occasional socially-distanced meetings. We will continue to look at the advice on how long such measures should remain in place and keep everyone updated when this changes. We are still taking referrals for the Parents Together, Mutual Carers and Forward Carers projects. Please use the form on this website. Below are some useful easy read documents about self isolating, shielding and the government's rules for Christmas. Please share them with anyone who might benefit from the advice. ![]()

CASBA publishing Learning Disability History on Education is Special Project website
Our National Lottery Heritage Fund supported Education is Special project has its own website to handle the large number of stories we have collected. There is already quite a lot on there, but it will expand even more as the project progresses so that we can share everything we learn. Please have a look at: www.educationisspecial.co.uk |

Co-op members can choose a cause by going online www.coop.co.uk/membership. We really hope that people will visit the website and choose to support us.
