Speaking Up About Buses: LINK Group Takes Part in WMCA Consultation

On Monday 17th March, the LINK group took part in a special community research session for the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA).

The event, held at Sense TouchBase Pears, gave LINK members the chance to share their views on Bus Reform and help others do the same.

The LINK members themselves gave feedback on their views on Bus Reform and invited members of the public and people from Sense Basecamp to be involved.

They were able to ask questions and prompt discussion about people’s views on the Bus Reform Consultation in a variety of different ways.

There were scoring jars which asked people to drop in a token (from strongly agree to strongly disagree) based on their thoughts on the questions asked. 3 questions were asked in total.

Heath maps were displayed and people were asked to place stickers on routes where there are issues with buses.

A number of pictures were displayed and people were asked to stick different stickers (sad, neutral and happy) based on how the pictures made them feel. They were also invited to leave feedback as to why the picture made them feel this way.

Some people were also involved in a discussion and recording a voice vox pop.

CASBA LINK group really enjoyed working with WMCA and were glad they were able to support in getting the voices of people who wouldn’t normally feed into a consultation.
