Communications Volunteer
Would you like to gain experience in charity communications? Are you interested in helping raise awareness of the issues faced by citizens with Learning Disabilities and their carers?
We are looking for someone who’d be interested in helping to create materials for web and social media. We are now largely working remotely, so we would like someone who can also do this.
A face-to-face induction will be held and regular video calls to discuss the work you’re doing will be part of your weekly volunteering.
We are looking for someone who could volunteer about 5 hours per week, either on one day, or across a couple of days.
Some experience or knowledge of using canva, or a different software package to design simple graphics is desirable.
Basic video editing ability would be nice to have.
An ability to express ideas in clear simple language is essential.
An interest in learning how to create easy read materials is essential.
Ideas on how to engage people with Twitter and Facebook posts is desirable.
A willingness to work independently is essential.
