  CASBA

fundraising development volunteer

Role Description:
As a Fundraising Development Volunteer you could:
  • Help organise and promote CASBA at Community Events (including fundraising opportunities).
  • Help to acquire, collect and sell items to raise money for CASBA.
  • Help find possible sponsorship opportunities from local businesses whether financial or in kind.
  • Help organise events such as coffee mornings to develop fundraising opportunities.
Time commitment expectations:  Minimum – 4 hours per month
Flexibility of Role: You will normally be required to volunteer your time during the week between 9am to 5pm.  However, there may be occasional opportunities to fundraise for CASBA at evening or weekend events.  Due to the responsibility of working with our Ambassadors you will need to be committed to any event you plan with them.
Desirable skills and abilities for this role: You will need to be passionate about improving the lives of people with learning disabilities.  You need to be able to enjoy the challenge of persuading people to part with their money to support CASBA.  This could include local businesses  and organisations.  Having an ability to think of new ideas to make fundraising fun and innovative would be really useful.  Plus you will need to show that you are honest and trustworthy as you may be dealing with money within this role.
Training and Supervision: All CASBA Fundraiser Volunteers will be offered regular one to one or group supervision. Ongoing training and development needs will be reviewed at these sessions.
