Group facilitators
We have a number of groups and will be developing further groups in the next few months as new projects start.
At present we need support with:
The Ambassadors group
Meets on a Wednesday morning from 10.30 to 12.00 (usually every 2 weeks) .
Our Ambassadors are past service users of CASBA who now support us by volunteering in a number of different capacities.
Your role will be:
Meeting days and times to be confirmed.
As an Associate member of this group you will support, encourage and develop self-advocacy within the group
Focus groups
Meeting days and times to be confirmed.
This group will invite speakers who will provide information on services available within the community.
You will be given the opportunity to:

Support given to all our volunteers:
You will be supported by CASBA staff running the sessions. Regular support sessions are also available, as well as quarterly volunteer feedback sessions which are open for all volunteers to attend.
Registration
A volunteer interest form needs to be completed before you can volunteer. This registration form gives you an opportunity to share the experience and skills you already have, and what you wish to gain and learn from volunteering with us.

- to work on a one to one basis with Ambassadors to develop their potential within their community.

- develop your community knowledge
- research possible speakers
- invite them to talk to the group
- work alongside Ambassadors to develop similar skills.
