
18-25 LINK Transition Group Co-Chair Role
Description

We are looking for two Co-Chairs to set up, plan and run the group.

To be Co-Chair, you need to have confidence.

You need to be good at time-keeping.

You need to understand what self-advocacy is and have experience of doing it.

You need to be good at working as part of a team.
What does the Co-Chair do?



Run meetings by welcoming, everyone, following the agenda and helping everyone get a chance to talk.

Co-produce the rules with the group, agree them and use them.

Hand out welcome packs to the new members.

Check who is coming to group.

Book the meeting room and tell the group when and where they’re meeting.

Meet new members before they join the group. Do risk assessments, fill in forms with them, help them settle in.

Type up and print out the monthly calendar of what’s happening at LINK.

Make sure the room is set up for everyone (boundary box, rules, agenda, sensory box, cards, policies)

Help everyone understand about start and finish times.

Be an admin for the WhatsApp group.

Support with travel when the group goes to visit partners to do co-production or on trips and fun days out.

Make an ‘About Me’ to help new people get to know you.
What does the Co-Chair get paid?


You need to work six hours a week. Two hours admin and four hours for group.

This job is a fixed term contract. We hope it will be for a year at least.
