Getting creative with colours and memories

LINK group weaves stories and hopes

At a recent session with our LINK group and Evolve & Flourish, members used weaving and colours to share what matters most to them, then spoke about how they’d like to be remembered.

Here at CASBA, we believe that everyone deserves a chance to speak up. We help adults with learning disabilities live with respect, make choices, and share their voice.

Group Work - CASBA Advocacy
Our LINK group brings people together to learn, try new things, and talk about what’s important to them.

Recently, the LINK group had another session with Evolve & Flourish.
Getting creative with colours and memories
In the session, we did weaving, and used colours that represent things we care about.
Getting creative with colours and memories
After weaving, we talked about memories and hopes: how we’d like people to remember us when we grow older. It was a quiet and powerful time.

This kind of activity helps people in our group feel heard. It helps them explore their thoughts and feelings.
