
Freelance Opportunity: Inclusive Exercise Instructor Wanted
We have secured two years of funding to deliver 40 classes to 15 people each year, and we are excited to partner with an instructor who shares our values.
Co‑Produced With Our Community
This project was designed alongside the people who will attend the classes. They told us they want:
- A friendly, comfortable environment
- Classes where they feel represented
- Kind, patient, understanding instructors who make them feel safe and supported
Where Classes Will Be Delivered
Year 1:
Classes will take place at Touchbase Pears in Selly Oak, a fully accessible venue that aligns with CASBA’s commitment to inclusion.
Year 2:
We plan to move into another area of South Birmingham. Experience delivering in Hall Green is an advantage.
By year three, we would want to see that people have made the transition to mainstream inclusive exercise. We feel that this aim of transition would be integral to this project and start as
What We’re Looking For
We welcome Expressions of Interest from instructors who can demonstrate:
- Experience adapting sessions for people with additional needs
- A warm, encouraging teaching style
- A commitment to accessibility and inclusion
- Professionalism and reliability
- Able to actively contribute to measurement and evaluation as the project progresses
