Hours: Sessional depending on demand
Salary:£17.48 – £25 per hour depending on experience

💬 About the Role
As a Freelance Advocate, you will:
- Provide independent, person centred advocacy to adults with learning disabilities
- Support people to understand their rights and express their wishes
- Attend meetings, reviews, and appointments alongside the person
- Help people navigate services, systems, and decision making processes
- Keep clear, accurate records of your work
- Work flexibly, professionally, and in line with CASBA’s values
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about empowering people, confident communicating with a wide range of professionals, and skilled at building trust.
💡 About You
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience of working with people with learning disabilities
- Understand advocacy principles (or are keen to learn)
- Are kind, patient, and a good listener
- Can explain information clearly and simply
- Are confident working independently
- Can travel within South Birmingham
- Are reliable, organised, and committed to inclusion
Experience in statutory or non‑statutory advocacy is welcome, but not essential — the right values matter most.
